Using the iPad for Effective Teaching and Learning For Beginners

This workshop, for the novice iPad user, will inform educators of basic uses, applications and creative ways to integrate mobile technology in the classroom and for professional growth. Participants will "make and take" in this hands-on workshop as the presenter shares ideas and demonstrates applications (both free and minimal cost) on the iPad. Applications that support student engagement, participation, and learning will be demonstrated. Participants will leave with a list of resources, suggested apps, basic tips and tricks, and strategies for implementation of an iPad program.

This workshop is for educators who are already familiar with iPad applications and want to advance their skills. Participants will explore resources and creative ways to incorporate mobile devices and applications to support professional development. The presenter will demonstrate how educators can use mobile devices and applications to improve student engagement, understanding of concepts and performance. Participants will leave with a list of suggested apps, tips, tricks, and tools to manage content.
